YouTube Embed Errors

Sign in to confirm you're not a bot
NOTE: YouTube/Google has made a “security” change that for some users, Video Embeds may display the error above for most browsers that attempt to protect users from massive tracking & data harvesting.

The error appears even if logged into YouTube. And there is no option to log in. A workaround is to click “Watch on YouTube” or the Video Title, which will open in... YouTube. Unsurprisingly, YT embeds seem to work just fine in Google Chrome. Imagine that. D**k move, YouTube.

Also - if you trigger the error, the Video Title and “Watch on YouTube” goes away, so you’ll have to reload the page to get them back.

New! – Demo 2/4 - Matsuri Daiko Solo Tag the Shango Players. We've been having a little trouble with figuring out where people's solos in the Ni Yon (2/4) Matsuri Daiko Jam ended. So we're picking up an idea from Shoji Kameda's Omiyage and using a dead simple Solo Tag to signal the end of solos for the next player. Will make the changeovers much sharper.

This was intended for Shang&ou; Percussion’s original Worldbeat "Ni-Yon Masuri Daiko" Version. A more specific Taiko styled tag we’re using for SMT is - “Don Don Don Don Don Don DON – SO RE! The key here is the loud “SO RE!” at the end.

Matsuri Daiko – Soh Daiko - New York City's original Taiko (Japanese drum) ensemble Soh Daiko, performing their interpretation of the festival rythmn Matsuri Daiko. Matsuri meaning “festival”, this is a contemporary composition inspired by traditional festival elements. Presented by Carnegie Hall as part of its Neighborhood Concert Series. Recorded March 27, 2011 at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts. Compare to Senryu Taiko below.

Mark H Rooney Taiko School Styles Class at Sakura Taiko Fest 2024
Our first performance at STF 2024 featured students from the Mark H Rooney Taiko School! This video is of our Winter 2024 Naname Styles Class, which focused on learning "Matsuri," a collection of festival rhythms. Some students in the class started playing this challenging and dynamic style just 8 weeks before the performance!

Matsuri - Senryu Taiko – January 23, 2015: UCR's Senryu Taiko performs the taiko community song, Matsuri! This performance was for UCR's Circle K Kids Rock Annual Benefit Concert.

Matsuri Daiko is one of the most well-known and beloved Taiko festival Songs, played around the world. It's almost more a category of Taiko than a specific song. There are lots of ways to play Matsuri! Compare this performance to NYC's Soh Daiko's above.
