NEW! — Taiko Songs: Tamiko’s Drill Tutorial
Beginner Player Tutorial for Tamiko’s Drill. A short song designed as a teaching drill by Tamiko Ooka of NYC’s Soh Daiko, arranged for Shangö Mountain Taiko, by Kurt Griffith. Played to the “swing” Jiuchi, this is easy to learn and gain confidence with, with enough variation to keep it interesting. Kurt brought this one back from the East Coast Taiko Conference 2024. We’re playing it with a simple SMT arrangement with alternating solos.

NEW! — Singing in the Present | San Jose Taiko and Wesley Jazz Ensemble with Epic Immersive
Jan 26, 2018 – From Swingposium, San Jose Taiko’s 2017 immersive theater program with Epic Immersive and the Wesley Jazz Ensemble. “Singing in the Present” is a mash-up of our signature song, “Gendai ni Ikiru (Living in the Present)” and Benny Goodman's swing classic, “Sing Sing Sing.”

NOTE: YouTube/Google has made a “security” change that for some users, Video Embeds may display the error above for most browsers that attempt to protect users from massive tracking & data harvesting.
The error appears even if logged into YouTube. And there is no option to log in. A workaround is to click “Watch on YouTube” or the Video Title, which will open in... YouTube. Unsurprisingly, YT embeds seem to work just fine 1n Google Chrome. Imagine that. D**k move, YouTube.
Also - if you trigger the error, the Video Title and “Watch on YouTube” goes away, so you’ll have to reload the page to get them back.
